The position is designed for a senior professional with strong experience managing complex, multi-country grants, working with civil society organizations and supporting programs in restrictive, high-risk or conflict-affected environments.

About Outright International

Outright International is a global human rights organization working to help lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) people live safer, healthier and more empowered lives.

Founded in 1990, the organization works internationally through human rights documentation, movement support, grantmaking and advocacy. Its staff operate across multiple countries, working closely with LGBTIQ+ movements, civil society organizations and allies.

  • Supporting flexible financing, including emergency, programmatic and organizational development grants.
  • Coordinating participatory monitoring, evaluation and learning processes.
  • Tracking programmatic and contextual risks and supporting adaptive management.
  • Working with external MEL consultants and donor-led evaluations.
  • Monitoring political, security and civic-space developments.
  • Ensuring safeguarding standards, including prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, are maintained.
  • Supporting partners engaging with regional and multilateral human rights mechanisms.
  • Coordinating partner participation in international advocacy meetings and convenings.
  • Ensuring donor financial and narrative reporting requirements are met.
  • Working with finance and grants teams on disbursements, compliance checks and sanctions screening.
  • Preparing consolidated reports for donors.

Experience with monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) frameworks, particularly outcome mapping or similar qualitative approaches, will be valuable.

Candidates should understand donor compliance requirements and be comfortable working with government or multilateral funding instruments.
