Senior Major Gift Officer – Remote
The Senior Major Gift Officer plays a key role in securing major and planned gifts for the Wikimedia Foundation and the Wikimedia Endowment. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Major Gifts & Planned Giving, this role manages a portfolio of high-value donors, leads personalized cultivation strategies, and supports large-scale outreach. Success requires strong relationship management, strategic communication, and experience in major gifts fundraising.

Communications

Senior Integrated Marketing Specialist (Contract)
A maternity-cover role (February–June 2026), this position leads major marketing initiatives with high autonomy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing, the specialist ensures continuity of campaign performance and develops integrated marketing workstreams during a high-impact period for the organization.

Movement Communications Specialist – Remote
The Movement Communications Specialist strengthens multilingual storytelling, digital engagement, and community communications. Working with over 300,000 Wikimedia volunteers and affiliates, the specialist helps build trust and shared understanding between the Wikimedia Foundation and its global movement. The role involves collaborative content creation, storytelling, and community-building.

Product & Technology

Software Engineer, MediaWiki Interfaces – Remote
This engineer joins the team maintaining MediaWiki’s integration interfaces and APIs—the backbone of Wikipedia’s editing and access systems. The role involves building features that support teams across the organization and millions of global users.

Senior Software Engineer – Remote
The senior engineer contributes to the engineering strategy behind Wikipedia’s high-volume data feeds. Responsibilities include cross-team collaboration, tool development, system reliability improvement, and long-term technical planning.
