Young leaders passionate about youth movements, advocacy, migration, and community engagement are invited to apply for the Mobilisation Lead position with the Migration Youth & Children Platform (MYCP). This fully remote volunteer opportunity offers young professionals the chance to support youth-led organizations worldwide and help amplify their campaigns to influence decision-makers and policy processes.

About the Mobilisation Lead Role
The Mobilisation Lead works with youth-led organizations across different regions to strengthen their campaigns, initiatives, and advocacy efforts. The role focuses on ensuring that youth voices are not only heard but also elevated to influence policies and practices affecting migrant and displaced communities.
Working under the guidance of the Director of Outreach & Engagement, the Mobilisation Lead will collaborate closely with MYCP Regional Representatives and different teams to build stronger regional networks and coordinated advocacy actions.
This is a fully remote volunteer position requiring approximately 5–7 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
The Mobilisation Lead will play an important role in connecting youth organizations, strengthening campaigns, and supporting collective action.
Support Youth-Led Campaigns and Advocacy
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting youth organizations in developing and strengthening advocacy campaigns.
- Amplifying youth-led initiatives internally and externally.
- Helping campaigns reach decision-makers and relevant stakeholders.
- Connecting youth movements with MYCP advocacy structures.
Strengthen Regional Networks
The Mobilisation Lead will:
- Work closely with MYCP Regional Representatives.
- Develop coordinated regional action plans.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration between youth organizations.
- Support stronger connections between local initiatives and global advocacy priorities.
Connect Organizations With MYCP Structures
The role involves:
- Creating links between youth organizations and MYCP’s #THINK (research) and #DELIVER (advocacy) structures.
- Supporting campaigns with innovative mobilisation approaches.
- Helping integrate youth perspectives into research and advocacy strategies.
Build Capacity and Collective Action
The successful candidate will:
- Support capacity-building activities for member organizations.
- Strengthen campaigning and advocacy skills among youth-led groups.
- Identify opportunities for joint campaigns, solidarity actions, and collective mobilisation on migration issues.
Support Communications and Visibility
The Mobilisation Lead will contribute to:
- Promoting youth-led initiatives through MYCP communications channels.
- Increasing visibility of campaigns and advocacy efforts.
- Highlighting the impact of youth organizations working on migration issues.
Person Specification
MYCP is seeking young leaders who demonstrate passion, creativity, and commitment to youth empowerment.
Applicants should:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Have experience in youth engagement, grassroots mobilisation, or community organizing.
- Ideally have experience working with youth-led organizations or civil society groups.
- Be able to connect and collaborate with people from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.
- Understand migration issues, preferably through professional experience or lived experience.
- Have excellent organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Be fluent in English; knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage.
- Demonstrate creativity, reliability, and proactive problem-solving skills.
