About the Senior Analyst Role

Key Responsibilities

Research and Analysis

The selected candidate will:

• Design and lead original conflict research projects.
• Produce regional analysis and contribute to thematic and global reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to develop analytical products.
• Provide expert commentary and insights for public reports and publications.
• Support innovation in conflict analysis methodologies.

Data Management

The analyst will also play an important role in maintaining data quality and expanding regional coverage by:

• Collaborating with data collection and data science teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

As a senior representative of ACLED, the analyst will:

• Deliver training sessions on conflict data analysis when required.

Project Development

Qualifications and Experience

ACLED is seeking highly motivated professionals with a strong background in conflict analysis and regional expertise.

Applicants must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Conflict Studies, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience delivering analytical insights to diverse audiences.
• Extensive knowledge of political and social developments in the Middle East.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
