Progress Inc. Opens Global Consultant Roster for Remote and Field-Based Opportunities|Deadline 13 Sept 2026

Progress Inc. is inviting experienced professionals from around the world to express their interest in joining its Global Consultant Roster. The opportunity is designed for consultants who may be considered for upcoming research, monitoring, evaluation, learning, advisory and technical assignments across development, humanitarian and peacebuilding contexts.

The roster offers professionals the potential to access short-term and medium-term consultancy assignments, either remotely or in the field. Applications are open until 13 September 2026.

About Progress Inc.

Progress Inc. is an international research, monitoring, evaluation, learning and advisory organisation working with governments, development partners, UN agencies, international and national NGOs, research institutions, foundations and private-sector organisations.

Its work focuses on strengthening evidence-based programming through research studies, evaluations, assessments, technical assistance, capacity strengthening, learning reviews and proposal development.

As its work expands across different countries and regions, Progress Inc. is developing a global database of experienced consultants. The roster will help the organisation identify professionals whose expertise, geographic experience and availability match future assignments and client requirements.

What Is the Global Consultant Roster?

The Global Consultant Roster is intended to provide Progress Inc. with access to qualified experts for future projects and proposal teams.

Consultants included in the roster may be contacted when their profile matches a particular technical requirement, country context or client need. Assignments could be remote or field-based and may vary in length.

Importantly, joining the roster does not guarantee a consultancy contract. Any future engagement will be based on a separate Terms of Reference, agreed scope of work, timeline, availability and remuneration.

This makes the opportunity particularly useful for independent consultants and specialists interested in being considered for future international development and humanitarian assignments.

Progress Inc. is welcoming applications from professionals with expertise across a wide range of sectors.

Key areas include:

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).

Professionals with a combination of technical expertise and strong geographic knowledge may be particularly well positioned for future opportunities.

Global and Regional Experience

The roster has a global focus, with Progress Inc. seeking consultants who understand local systems, institutional environments, field realities and development priorities.

Relevant experience is welcomed across South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia and the Pacific, East and Southern Africa, West and Central Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, Europe and Central Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Country-level experience can be especially valuable for research and evaluation assignments because consultants with strong contextual knowledge can better understand local institutions, communities and operating environments.

Language skills are also important. While fluency in English or another relevant working language is expected, additional national and regional languages are considered an asset.

Potential Consultancy Assignments

Roster members may be considered for a variety of assignments depending on client requirements.

Other possible assignments include gender and inclusion analysis, humanitarian and resilience studies, field coordination, training and facilitation, capacity strengthening, learning briefs, case studies and knowledge products.
