Key Responsibilities

The selected fellow will:

  • Develop outreach strategies to engage underrepresented scientific disciplines.
  • Translate technical plant-based meat research into language accessible to other scientific fields.
  • Create databases of researchers, universities, scientific societies, and professional organizations.
  • Identify conferences and scientific forums where GFI can build partnerships.
  • Develop outreach materials, briefing documents, and communication toolkits.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, interviews, surveys, and networking activities.
  • Pilot outreach initiatives and incorporate lessons learned into future strategies.
  • Prepare a final report summarizing findings and recommendations for GFI’s Science and Technology team.
  • Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

Who Should Apply?

GFI is looking for candidates with strong scientific knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Ideal applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or the physical sciences.
  • At least three years of academic research experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or holding a Master’s degree or higher in disciplines such as materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biological engineering, or soft matter physics.
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts across different scientific disciplines.
