About the Director of Finance & Operations Role

The Director of Finance & Operations will report to the Managing Director and take responsibility for strengthening the organization’s financial health, operational effectiveness, compliance and internal systems.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, accounting, grants management, organizational administration, technology, vendors, contracts and risk management.

The Director will also work closely with the Managing Director and Board to translate organizational goals into realistic financial, staffing and operational plans.

  • Supporting annual audits and tax filings
  • Managing grant budgets and restricted funding
  • Monitoring financial compliance with funder requirements

Operations and Administration

Responsibilities include developing administrative workflows, operating policies and internal systems. The Director will also oversee vendor contracts, business insurance, procurement, facilities and legal or regulatory compliance in partnership with external advisors.
