About the Role

The Tupande Avocado Oil Production Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day production and warehouse operations. The position focuses on managing fruit intake, overseeing processing activities, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

In addition to production oversight, the role supports inventory tracking, team supervision, and compliance with food safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires a balance of technical expertise, supervision, and operational coordination:

• Production Operations
  • Supervise daily production activities based on established schedules
  • Ensure smooth movement of raw materials between warehouse and processing units
  • Monitor production flow and escalate operational issues when necessary
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Warehouse Management
  • Oversee fruit offloading, sorting, and storage
  • Ensure proper handling to minimize damage and loss
  • Maintain organized storage systems and safe movement pathways
  • Enforce First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO/FRFO) practices
• Inventory & Stock Monitoring
  • Track daily fruit intake and stock movement
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping by warehouse staff
  • Support stock reconciliation between production and warehouse teams
• Team Supervision
  • Manage production staff, warehouse clerks, and casual workers
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure timely completion
  • Promote compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards
  • Escalate staffing or performance issues when needed
• Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all production meets quality and food safety standards
  • Maintain hygienic conditions across facilities
  • Enforce Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) protocols
  • Support implementation of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
• Waste & Reporting
  • Monitor and record fruit waste and losses
  • Report abnormal losses and operational challenges
  • Provide daily updates on production, stock, and warehouse activities

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should demonstrate both technical knowledge and strong operational skills:

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Production Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in production, warehousing, or manufacturing (food processing experience is an advantage)
• Knowledge of food safety systems, environmental standards, and occupational health and safety
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• High attention to detail and time management skills
