Overview of the Consultancy Opportunity

The organization is seeking experienced consultants or service providers for two closely related assignments:

1. Digital Security and OSINT Consultant

2. IT and Cybersecurity Trainer and Support Provider

Applicants may apply for one or both assignments depending on their expertise.

Both roles are short-term and highly practical, focusing on training delivery, systems setup, and capacity building for staff and partners working in sensitive digital environments.

Assignment 1: Digital Security and OSINT Training

This assignment focuses on strengthening the ability of Syrian civil society actors to operate safely online and conduct ethical open-source research.

The consultant will:

• Design and deliver two interactive online training sessions
• Develop contextualized training materials and case studies
• Teach digital security and OSINT methodologies
• Adapt content for Syrian and MENA-region realities
• Provide practical tools for ongoing digital safety

Key training areas include:

• Threat modeling and digital risk assessment
• Secure communication practices
• Passwords, authentication, and account security
• Protection from phishing and surveillance
• Operational security (OPSEC)
• Introduction to OSINT methods
