Parking Reform Network Development Manager: Remote Nonprofit Job Opportunity|Apply by 27 Aug 2026

The Parking Reform Network (PRN) is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising and development professional to join its team as a Development Manager. This is a full-time remote position designed for someone who can build strong donor and membership systems, manage fundraising campaigns, and help expand the organization’s revenue streams.

The role is particularly suited to professionals with experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, membership programs, Salesforce, digital campaigns, and development operations.

About the Parking Reform Network

The Parking Reform Network is a national nonprofit organization working to transform parking policy across the United States. The organization collaborates with local advocates, partner organizations, and policymakers to promote better approaches to parking and urban policy.

As PRN continues to diversify its funding, the Development Manager will play a key role in developing the systems and campaigns that support sustainable organizational growth.

Development Manager Job Responsibilities

The Development Manager will take ownership of PRN’s donor and member giving activities from acquisition through retention and renewal. The successful candidate will develop strategies, manage campaigns, monitor performance, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

Key responsibilities include managing recurring campaigns such as Giving Tuesday, year-end fundraising, membership drives, and renewal campaigns. The manager will create campaign calendars, track results, and identify opportunities for improvement.

The position will also involve managing donor information in Salesforce, including segmentation, lists, reports, and data quality. The successful candidate will work with Operations and IT to improve systems and ensure that platforms such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, Stripe, and Luma work effectively together.

Another important aspect of the role will be donor stewardship. The Development Manager will write thank-you messages, renewal appeals, donor communications, and other fundraising content while ensuring donors receive timely and meaningful engagement.

The manager will also research prospective donors and contacts, identify potential major-donor and sponsorship opportunities, and direct promising leads to the appropriate members of the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have strong experience using Salesforce, particularly for donor lists, reports, segmentation, and data management. PRN is seeking someone who can do more than operate existing systems and can identify opportunities to improve them.

Applicants should also understand how digital systems and integrations work conceptually, even without being software developers. Experience managing fundraising funnels and campaigns from planning through launch is highly valuable.

Strong writing skills are essential because the role involves producing donor appeals, thank-you messages, stewardship communications, and campaign materials.

The organization is also interested in candidates who are comfortable with AI and emerging technologies and are willing to explore how AI and coding can generate useful insights from development data.

Self-direction, initiative, organization, and the ability to recognize fundraising opportunities are also important. While previous experience is valuable, PRN encourages applicants who are strongly motivated by its mission to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification.

Location and Salary

The Development Manager position is fully remote, with work conducted primarily on Pacific Time. Candidates based on the U.S. West Coast are preferred because the organization is based there and is working toward greater in-person collaboration.

Some travel will be required.

The salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The position also includes benefits such as a QSEHRA health reimbursement arrangement, paid time off, floating holidays, and a 401(k) employer match.

The role is full-time and exempt.

Career Growth Opportunity

This position offers significant potential for professional growth. The Development Manager will report directly to the President and will help build PRN’s development program from the ground up.

As the organization’s revenue grows and the successful candidate demonstrates strong performance, the role could eventually expand into a Development Director position.

This makes the opportunity particularly attractive to a development professional who wants to take greater ownership of fundraising strategy and eventually move into nonprofit development leadership.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are required to submit a résumé and a response to one application question instead of a traditional cover letter.

Applicants should describe a fundraising or membership campaign they took from the initial idea through launch, explaining what they personally did and what results the campaign achieved.

Candidates who use AI tools while completing the application assignment must identify the tool used and explain how it was used.

Applications should be emailed to dm-apply@parkingreform.org with the applicant’s name and “Development Manager” in the subject line.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority consideration on or before August 27, 2026.
