TRUST Consultancy & Development is inviting applications for its Junior Officer (Intern) Internship Programme in either Proposal Writing (PW) or Third-Party Monitoring & Evaluation (TPM). Remote Junior Officer Internship Opportunity

The internship programme offers candidates the opportunity to join one of two professional tracks:

Proposal Writing Track

Interns supporting the Proposal Writing department will gain experience in developing competitive humanitarian and development proposals.

Responsibilities include:

• Searching for new funding opportunities and tenders
• Reviewing and analysing Terms of Reference (ToRs)
• Supporting technical proposal development
• Conducting research for proposals
• Communicating with partners and consultants
• Identifying potential external experts and collaborators
• Assisting proposal teams with coordination and writing tasks

Third-Party Monitoring and Evaluation Track

Interns joining the TPM and Evaluation department will gain practical experience in humanitarian research and evaluation processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting literature and desk reviews
• Supporting monitoring and evaluation activities
• Developing research and data collection tools
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Supporting report preparation
• Participating in remote interviews and key informant discussions
• Supporting data visualization and communication materials

Internship Duration and Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote internship opportunity designed for candidates who can commit to professional responsibilities from anywhere.

• Duration: 4–6 months
• Work arrangement: Remote
• Working hours: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
• Internship type: Unpaid
• Travel support: Covered by TRUST when travel is required for assignments

Interns will work under remote supervision while gaining exposure to real humanitarian and development projects.

Skills and Experience Required

TRUST is seeking candidates with academic backgrounds and interests related to humanitarian work, research, and development.

Applicants should have:

• A university degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related fields
• Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills in multicultural teams

Candidates with a master’s degree or previous humanitarian experience will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience and skills that will strengthen applications include:

• Knowledge of Arabic, Kurdish, or Turkish
• Previous monitoring and evaluation experience
• Proposal writing experience
• Humanitarian project management experience
• Experience working with international teams
• Familiarity with remote work environments

Experience in low- and middle-income countries, particularly within the MENA region, is also highly valued.
