Position Overview
The Senior Director, Data Hub will report directly to the Chief Data Scientist and Managing Director of the Data Hub and oversee multiple analytical, operational, and strategic functions across Project Evident’s organization.
The role combines leadership in data science, AI workflows, causal inference research, business development, and client engagement while managing a multidisciplinary analytics team.

Core Responsibilities
The Senior Director will lead across three major operational areas:
1. Data Hub Client Services
Responsibilities include:
- Managing AI-enabled analytics projects
- Leading causal evaluation and evidence-building initiatives
- Overseeing ETL, predictive analytics, and descriptive analytics projects
- Delivering client-facing advisory and cohort-based engagements
2. Cross-Practice Collaboration
The role will also support projects involving other Project Evident practices, including:
- OutcomesAI
- Evidence for Outcomes
- Education Agency Practice
The Senior Director will provide analytical expertise and methodological leadership for integrated client engagements.
3. Shared Internal Analytics Services
Internal leadership duties include:
- Managing Project Evident’s Impact Dashboard
- Supporting recurring internal analytics services
- Maintaining organizational data systems and evaluation frameworks
Leadership & Team Management
The selected candidate will oversee:
- Associate Directors
- Analysts
- Contractor developers
- Data architecture specialists
The role also involves helping the organization transition into modern AI development environments and applied AI workflows using tools like Claude Code and Claude Cowork.
Qualifications Required
Project Evident is seeking candidates with strong technical, leadership, and business development experience.
Education & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Master’s or doctorate preferred
- 10+ years of experience in:
- Data science
- Research and evaluation
- Education or nonprofit sectors
- 7+ years of leadership and project management experience
Technical Skills
Strong candidates should demonstrate expertise in:
- Causal inference and quasi-experimental methods
- AI agentic workflows
- Predictive and prescriptive analytics
- Machine learning and large language models
- R and/or Python programming
Experience with Anthropic-based AI environments and Claude tools is strongly preferred.
Business Development Expectations
The Senior Director will also play a major role in expanding Project Evident’s partnerships and revenue pipeline.
Responsibilities include:
- Securing six-figure grants and contracts
- Building relationships with foundations and nonprofits
- Supporting proposal development and thought leadership initiatives
- Publishing research briefs and case studies
