The role will require close engagement with public health teams, commissioners, healthcare stakeholders and organisations working in HIV and sexual health.

The consultant will also help explore opportunities to integrate PrEP into broader healthcare pathways. This may include approaches such as incorporating PrEP into women’s health hubs and other services where digital or remote healthcare pathways could improve access.

  • Supporting local discussions about digital PrEP adoption.
  • Helping stakeholders understand implementation requirements.

The consultant will also help develop evidence and examples that demonstrate how digital PrEP can be implemented successfully at local and regional levels.

National Advocacy and Policy Engagement

Alongside regional mobilisation, the consultant will contribute to national advocacy efforts.

The successful candidate will engage with national health and public health stakeholders, including relevant government, NHS and HIV prevention organisations. The work will help communicate evidence and practical learning from regional implementation to inform wider policy and commissioning discussions.

Responsibilities may include preparing briefings, translating evidence into clear messages and supporting discussions around PrEP policy, guidance, commissioning and investment.

The consultant will also help identify opportunities to influence national decision-making and encourage stronger support for digital PrEP services.
