Key Responsibilities of the HR and Compliance Consultant
The HR and Compliance Consultant provides essential HR support, compliance oversight, and guidance to Project Play’s team. Key responsibilities include:
- Payroll and Remuneration
- Work with the Operations Lead to ensure timely payroll and staff remuneration
- Policy and Contract Management
- Maintain and update employment contracts, freelance agreements, and HR policies
- Ensure compliance with French employment law
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Support the onboarding of new staff and the departure of outgoing staff
- Incident and Accountability Support
- Provide guidance on responding to workplace incidents and accountability concerns
- Committee Participation
- Attend the People, Culture, and Structure Committee (1 hour/month)
- Provide insights and support for HR decision-making
Required Skills and Qualifications
This role is suitable for HR professionals with experience in small organisations or international contexts.
Essential Skills:
- Strong command of English; basic to working French is strongly desired
- Experience in HR, management, or team support
- Self-starting and able to work independently
