The Community Engagement Manager Role
The Community Engagement Manager serves as a vital member of the Women Moving Millions team. Reporting directly to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and working closely with the Director of Community Engagement, this professional will oversee member engagement strategies, regional community development, fundraising support, and recruitment initiatives.
The role bridges strategic planning and hands-on execution, ensuring members remain connected, engaged, and inspired to deepen their involvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
The Community Engagement Manager will play a central role in strengthening member experiences while supporting organizational growth.
Member Engagement and Community Building
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing member engagement and stewardship strategies throughout the membership lifecycle.
- Supporting onboarding, retention, renewals, and membership upgrades.
- Building meaningful relationships with current members and prospective supporters.
- Leading community engagement efforts across New York City and the Tri-State area.
- Coordinating regional outreach and relationship-building activities.
- Strengthening referral networks that contribute to membership growth.
Fundraising and Membership Development
The successful candidate will support fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation efforts by:
- Managing a portfolio of current and prospective members.
- Conducting outreach, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- Supporting membership recruitment campaigns and renewal strategies.
- Assisting with strategic fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and special projects.
- Preparing briefing materials, donor research, and meeting notes for senior leadership.
- Tracking donor engagement and follow-up actions.
Event Planning and Convenings
Regional events play a critical role in fostering engagement and expanding the Women Moving Millions network.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing regional gatherings and member events.
- Coordinating event logistics and vendor management.
- Securing venues and overseeing catering arrangements.
- Managing event hosts and guest experiences.
- Creating invitation strategies for members and prospects.
- Monitoring RSVPs and attendance outcomes.
Systems and Operational Coordination
To ensure smooth operations, the Community Engagement Manager will:
- Utilize Salesforce and other CRM systems to track member engagement.
- Coordinate outreach and fundraising activities.
- Support communications through platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting processes.
- Manage data related to member recruitment and engagement pipelines.
Qualifications and Experience
Women Moving Millions is seeking candidates with a strong background in community engagement, fundraising, and donor relations.
Preferred qualifications include:
- At least four years of experience in community engagement, development, fundraising, member relations, or philanthropy.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
