About R-SEAT

R-SEAT works to enhance the effectiveness of the global refugee system by institutionalizing meaningful refugee participation. Rather than treating refugees as passive recipients, R-SEAT supports systems that recognize refugees as leaders, advisors, and partners in decision-making.

The organization’s work is grounded in three core pillars:

  • Engage: Collaborating with governments and strategic partners to establish national refugee advisory mechanisms that embed refugee participation into policy processes.
  • Amplify: Shifting narratives to position refugee leaders and refugee-led organizations as credible, essential actors in shaping responses.
  • Connect: Building reciprocal networks between refugees, RLOs, governments, philanthropy, and INGOs to enable learning, collaboration, and resource mobilization.

  • Ability to travel regionally (and preferably internationally)
  • Strong leadership skills, initiative, and comfort working in a remote environment

Strong candidates will also have:

  • Lived experience of forced displacement
  • Advocacy, organizing, or movement-building experience
  • Familiarity with global refugee governance frameworks, including the Global Compact on Refugees and the Global Refugee Forum

Role 2: Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level operational and administrative support, helping ensure that R-SEAT’s leadership and team function effectively across multiple priorities and stakeholders.

This role is well suited to an organized, responsive self-starter with strong communication skills and experience supporting senior leadership in dynamic environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting working documents, briefs, and speaking notes
  • Managing complex calendars and coordinating schedules
  • Liaising professionally with diverse global stakeholders
  • Providing administrative and documentation support
  • Maintaining and updating contact management and CRM systems

Essential requirements:
