About the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative

The Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative is a rapidly growing global campaign advocating for an international agreement that complements the Paris Agreement by addressing the root cause of the climate crisis—fossil fuel production.

Working alongside governments, cities, civil society organizations, Indigenous communities, youth movements, faith groups, health professionals, and climate advocates, the initiative seeks to promote a just and equitable transition toward clean energy while protecting communities most affected by climate change.

The Africa Communications Consultant will play a vital role in expanding awareness, strengthening partnerships, and supporting communications efforts across the continent.
