CodePath is a major educator of college computer science students in the United States. According to the organization, it has trained more than 40,000 students from over 1,000 universities, working with partners that include major technology companies.
In June 2026, CodePath and Anthropic launched Claude Corps, a national fellowship program backed by a $150 million commitment. The initiative aims to place 1,000 AI-trained fellows at nonprofit organizations across the United States.
As a Mentor, you would play an important role in helping these fellows turn their technical knowledge into practical solutions within their host organizations.
What Will the Mentor Do?
The Mentor will support approximately 20 fellows across 8–12 host organizations, organized into roughly 10 pods.
Rather than focusing solely on technical development, the position combines AI expertise, coaching, communication, organizational problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
Mentors will help fellows understand the problems they are trying to solve, identify stakeholders, communicate their ideas, build organizational support, and develop AI-enabled solutions that can actually be adopted.
The role involves regular one-on-one coaching, office hours, milestone reviews, project feedback, roadmap discussions, and asynchronous feedback.
Fellows may work on technical integrations, AI-enabled workflows, organizational AI education, or broader technology adoption projects.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to coach fellows throughout the Claude Corps program.
Major responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of approximately 10 pods.
- Conducting weekly one-on-one meetings with fellows.
- Tracking fellow progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Providing feedback on technical implementations, project plans, presentations, architecture proposals, and roadmaps.
- Helping fellows navigate ambiguity and organizational challenges.
- Coaching fellows in communication, prioritization, presentations, and stakeholder management.
- Supporting Day 30, 90, 180, and 270 milestone reviews.
- Delivering curriculum modules developed by the curriculum team.
- Helping fellows apply AI tools to real organizational problems.
- Supporting workshops and practical assessments.
- Helping fellows with stakeholder discovery and change management.
- Identifying recurring problems and escalating them to the appropriate program leaders.
- Using AI tools to research, solve problems, provide feedback, and work more efficiently.

Preferred Experience
While not all of the following are mandatory, CodePath considers experience in several areas advantageous.
These include client-facing consulting or implementation, nonprofit or education technology projects, AI adoption, automation, software implementation, bootcamp coaching, fellowship mentoring, technical training, workshops, and professional development.
Experience working in a small or fast-moving organization can also be valuable because the role requires an understanding of both technical solutions and organizational needs.
Salary and Benefits
The Mentor, Claude Corps position is a full-time W2 employee role and is 100% remote within the United States.
The advertised salary range is:
US$110,000 – US$124,500 per year
CodePath also provides a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, with the employer covering 90% for employees and dependents.
