The Secretariat of the initiative coordinates global stakeholders and ensures that projects are effectively tracked, financed, and implemented.

Internship Overview

This remote internship offers exposure to multiple functional areas within a global climate initiative. The successful candidate will support cross-cutting work across finance, pipeline management, communications, and policy coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will contribute to multiple areas of program delivery and coordination.

Pipeline and Project Support

The role includes assisting with the management of the project pipeline, ensuring that climate restoration initiatives are effectively tracked and monitored. Responsibilities include consolidating key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting project onboarding, and improving transparency in project tracking systems such as Restor.

The intern will also support the team in assessing pipeline maturity and ensuring data consistency across ongoing projects.

Finance Strategy Support

Working closely with the Finance Lead, the intern will assist in implementing country-level finance strategies. This includes supporting stakeholder engagement activities, coordinating finance-related events, and contributing to research on climate finance mechanisms.

The role provides exposure to innovative funding models aimed at scaling nature-based solutions globally.

Event Coordination

The intern will help prepare for international climate events and stakeholder meetings. This includes logistical coordination, background research, and supporting the development of presentation materials.

These activities contribute to high-level engagement with global climate actors, including policymakers, investors, and environmental organizations.

Communications and Outreach

A key part of the internship involves supporting communications efforts. The intern will help draft outreach materials, assist in content preparation, and contribute to storytelling around mangrove conservation and climate impact.

Operational Support

The intern will also provide general operational assistance across teams, ensuring smooth coordination of internal processes and supporting team leads with administrative and research tasks.
