Key Responsibilities
Interns will participate in a variety of meaningful projects, including:
- Drafting and editing the U.S.-Cuba News Brief.
- Designing graphics and creating content for CEDA’s social media platforms.
- Monitoring and summarizing policy developments related to Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Updating the organization’s website, databases, and social media accounts.
- Supporting direct mail and email outreach campaigns.
- Attending congressional hearings, policy briefings, and relevant events virtually or in person, then preparing written summaries.
- Assisting with additional administrative and organizational tasks as required.
These responsibilities provide interns with practical experience in policy research, communications, digital marketing, nonprofit operations, and advocacy.
Who Should Apply?

- Experience managing organizational social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and X.

- Working proficiency in Spanish.
- Strong Google Workspace skills.
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational abilities.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work 15–25 hours per week, with a commitment of at least 20 hours during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, applicants with the following experience will stand out:
- Native Spanish fluency.
- Fundraising experience.
- Familiarity with Bloomerang, Mailchimp, and Squarespace.
- Graphic design skills beyond Canva.
- Experience creating advocacy or nonprofit branding materials.
