Coefficient Giving is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Associate to join its Operations team in a fully remote position open to candidates globally. The role offers baseline compensation of $130,525 and provides an opportunity for an experienced business immigration professional to manage U.S. immigration cases while helping build a scalable and resilient immigration function.
The full-time position is particularly suited to professionals with at least three years of technical business immigration experience, especially those with expertise in H-1B visas, green card cases, PERM processes, I-140 petitions and adjustment of status applications.
Deadline: September 20, 2026
About the Business Immigration Associate Role
The Business Immigration Associate will be responsible for supporting employees and candidates through U.S. visa and green card processes. The position sits within the Global Employment team, which supports how the organization employs people across different jurisdictions, including compensation, benefits and work authorization.
As the organization continues to expand globally, the Business Immigration team plays an important role in helping recruit and retain talented professionals who require U.S. work authorization.
The successful candidate will own day-to-day immigration casework, coordinate with employees and external immigration counsel, identify potential obstacles and ensure cases move forward efficiently.
This is also an opportunity to contribute to the development of immigration systems and processes as the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Immigration Associate will manage a wide range of immigration matters and serve as an important point of contact for employees throughout their cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day U.S. immigration casework for current and prospective employees.
- Handling nonimmigrant visa matters, including H-1B, E-3 and O-1 cases.
- Managing green card processes, including complex PERM cases.
- Coordinating with employees and candidates to collect required information and documentation.
- Working closely with external immigration counsel to develop case strategies and monitor progress.
- Keeping employees informed about the status of their immigration cases.
- Supporting visa initiation and renewal processes.
- Managing the employee experience throughout the immigration process.
- Ensuring a smooth transition between recruitment and onboarding for employees requiring visas.
- Responding to immigration-related questions, including employee travel inquiries.
- Maintaining accurate immigration documentation, policies and processes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve immigration systems and workflows.
- Taking ownership of projects that strengthen the organization’s immigration function.
The successful candidate will be expected to identify recurring problems and develop solutions that make the immigration process more efficient and easier for employees to navigate.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants should have at least three years of technical business immigration experience, particularly experience managing H-1B and green card cases. Experience working as a business immigration paralegal or in a similar role can provide relevant preparation.
Strong knowledge of the PERM process, I-140 petitions and adjustment of status applications is required. Familiarity with O-1 petitions and EB-1 green card cases is considered an advantage.
Excellent written communication skills are essential because the role involves managing a high volume of correspondence and explaining complicated immigration matters clearly to employees and hiring managers.
Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability and the ability to prioritize urgent and time-sensitive cases.
The organization is looking for someone who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure and comfortable adapting to changes in U.S. immigration policy.
Salary and Benefits
The baseline compensation for this position is $130,525 for remote U.S. hires. This consists of a $113,500 base salary and a $17,025 unconditional 401(k) grant.
Compensation may be adjusted upwards for eligible candidates working from the organization’s San Francisco or Washington, D.C. offices under the stated hybrid arrangements. New York-based candidates may also receive an adjustment under the applicable coworking arrangement.
For hires based outside the United States, compensation is distributed as take-home salary, according to the organization’s stated international hiring arrangements.
Benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, four weeks of recommended paid time off per year and four months of fully paid family leave.
Employees can also receive professional development support, flexible expense benefits and assistance with remote working arrangements.
Remote Work and International Eligibility
The position is Remote – Global, making it particularly notable for professionals outside the United States.
However, there is an important eligibility condition: the organization cannot sponsor visas for this position. International candidates can still be considered if they are able to consistently overlap with U.S. business hours for at least five to six hours per day.
This means the opportunity may be suitable for qualified professionals already authorized to work from their country of residence and who can accommodate the required U.S. time-zone overlap.
Application Deadline
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so candidates are encouraged to apply early. The stated latest application deadline is 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
