BTS Spark Seeks Programme Manager for Remote Opportunity | Apply by 01 September 2026

BTS Spark is seeking a proactive and highly organised Programme Manager to join its UK team in a fully remote, full-time permanent position. The role offers an annual salary of £36,000–£40,000 and provides an opportunity to support education and non-profit leaders through leadership coaching, learning programmes and organisational development.

The position is particularly suited to professionals with experience in programme management, operations, project coordination, client relationships, digital tools, CRM systems and business development. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Director while taking significant responsibility for the smooth delivery of programmes and day-to-day operations.

About BTS Spark

BTS Spark is the social impact and education practice of BTS, a global professional services organisation focused on helping leaders and organisations develop the capabilities needed to deliver effectively on their strategies.

The organisation provides 1:1 leadership coaching, group learning experiences, team development and organisational development programmes. Its work has traditionally focused on schools, colleges and multi-academy trusts, while the organisation is expanding its work with higher education institutions and non-profit organisations.

The successful Programme Manager will join a small UK core team and work alongside the wider BTS Spark team, BTS colleagues and a network of more than 30 UK-based coaches and facilitators.

Key Responsibilities

The Programme Manager will support almost every aspect of BTS Spark’s UK operations. This includes planning programmes, coordinating delivery and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating programme delivery.
  • Allocating coaches and facilitators and scheduling group sessions.
  • Managing logistics for face-to-face events.
  • Setting up coaching and leadership programmes on digital platforms.
  • Using AI tools such as Claude to improve routine processes, reporting and data management.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients.
  • Preparing briefings, platform demonstrations and impact reports.
  • Responding to new enquiries and supporting quotations.
  • Assisting with business development and proposal writing.
  • Coordinating LinkedIn and other social media activities.
  • Updating the organisation’s website and creating landing pages.
  • Supporting alumni and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintaining financial systems and supporting invoicing and purchase orders.
  • Providing occasional live support during virtual workshops.
  • Providing executive assistant support to the UK Director.

The role will vary throughout the year, with programme launches becoming a priority at certain times and development activities receiving greater attention during school holidays.

Who Should Apply?

BTS Spark is looking for someone with a strong and sustained background in programme planning, project management or operations management.

Applicants should demonstrate the ability to manage relationships with senior education and non-profit leaders while providing a high standard of professional customer service.

Strong written communication and proofreading skills are also essential, alongside excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate should be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working independently.

Other essential requirements include:

  • Strong financial literacy.
  • Experience using CRM or database systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Confidence using digital tools and AI assistants.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to occasionally attend calls outside normal UK working hours.

Experience in the education sector would be desirable, as would university graduate-level education.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £36,000–£40,000 per year.

BTS Spark also offers a range of benefits, including:

  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Christmas and New Year office closure.
  • 5% matched pension contribution.
  • Life insurance.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Access to a wellness coach.
  • Healthcare app with video GP appointments and other consultations.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.

The remote arrangement provides an opportunity for professionals who are comfortable managing programmes, relationships and digital operations while working independently.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers more than traditional programme administration. The Programme Manager will contribute to programme delivery, client engagement, marketing, business development, financial administration and digital transformation.

A particularly interesting aspect of the position is BTS Spark’s focus on using AI to improve working practices. The successful candidate will be encouraged to use tools such as Claude to streamline data entry, reporting and client communications, allowing more time for relationship-building and meaningful engagement.

The role could therefore appeal to professionals who want to combine programme management with technology, communications, education and social impact.

Application Process

Candidates are required to submit an up-to-date CV and a supporting statement of no more than two sides explaining how their knowledge, skills and experience meet the requirements of the position. Applications without a supporting statement will not be considered.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply early.

The listed closing date is 1 September 2026, with initial interviews taking place on a rolling basis until 4 September. Final interviews are scheduled to take place in London on 10 and 11 September 2026.

Final Thoughts

The BTS Spark Programme Manager position presents an opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a broad role supporting leadership and development programmes across the education and non-profit sectors.

With a £36,000–£40,000 salary, remote working arrangement, permanent contract and varied responsibilities, the role may be particularly attractive to candidates who enjoy combining organisation, communication, technology and relationship management.

Professionals with strong programme management experience who are enthusiastic about digital tools and AI-powered ways of working should consider reviewing the full requirements and submitting their applications before the deadline.
