Overview of the Associate Vice President, Accreditation Role

The Associate Vice President, Accreditation (Career/Tech) will serve as an accreditation liaison and primary contact for Career and Technical schools, particularly institutions using Middle States accreditation as part of their eligibility for federal financial aid under Title IV of the Higher Education Act.

The role requires an experienced professional who understands Career and Technical education systems, accreditation processes, and federal compliance requirements.

The successful candidate will guide schools through improvement journeys, provide ongoing support, monitor compliance obligations, and help institutions maintain accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Vice President will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the main liaison between MSA and assigned schools.
  • Supporting Career and Technical and Title IV institutions through accreditation processes.
  • Monitoring compliance with U.S. Department of Education Title IV regulations.
  • Identifying potential compliance risks and supporting corrective actions.
  • Providing guidance on school planning, self-study, and evaluation processes.
  • Leading training workshops and accreditation-related sessions.
  • Maintaining communication with school leaders and institutional representatives.
  • Supporting relationships with the Department of Education and NACIQI board.
  • Reviewing school reports, information requests, and accreditation documentation.
  • Preparing materials for MSA Commission meetings.
  • Supporting membership growth by promoting MSA accreditation services.

Required Experience and Skills

Applicants should have:

  • Professional experience working with Career and Technical schools.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation processes and educational improvement systems.
  • Experience with Title IV regulations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple institutions and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Experience conducting training sessions or workshops.
