Summary:

ZERO TO THREE is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to join the Early Childhood Developmental Health Systems (ECDHS) team. This role is critical in advancing our mission to support states and communities in building equitable, family-centered early childhood systems. The Analyst will work on policy research, technical assistance, and the integration of early childhood services into pediatric settings, promoting holistic care for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on policy issues related to early childhood systems.
  • Conduct research and produce written analysis on federal and state policies impacting infants, toddlers, and families.
  • Develop policy briefs, presentations, and other resources for ECDHS sites and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate webinars and training sessions on policy and funding issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to share insights and inform policy advocacy efforts.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in public policy research, analysis, or providing policy-related technical assistance.
  • Experience in writing policy briefs, white papers, and reports for policymakers and practitioners.
  • Knowledge of health and human services, especially in early childhood development, education, child welfare, mental health, and substance use.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local funding for human services.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for working with state/local governments or nonprofit organizations.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A Master’s degree in public policy, early childhood education, social work, or related fields is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary in the low $80,000s to $100,000s based on experience and location.

Physical & Working Conditions:

  • The role is remote, with occasional travel for training or meetings.
  • Typical office environment or home office setting.
