Africa Resource Mobilisation & Partnerships Manager Opportunity

The Africa Ageing Conference is being developed as a flagship biennial continental platform designed to strengthen leadership, collaboration, learning, accountability and investment around ageing and demographic change.

The Africa Resource Mobilisation & Partnerships Manager will lead the day-to-day funding and partnership activities associated with the conference. The role will also contribute to wider resource mobilisation priorities emerging from the organisation’s Africa Plan and Africa Coordination Mechanism.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a resource mobilisation and partnership plan for the Africa Ageing Conference.

Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a prioritised pipeline of funding, sponsorship and in-kind opportunities. The manager will also prepare investment propositions, concept notes, proposals, sponsorship packages and pitch materials for prospective funders and partners.

The position will involve taking funding opportunities through different stages, from prospect research and relationship cultivation to proposal development and stewardship. The successful candidate will also help ensure agreements are completed through the appropriate organisational approval processes.

Another important part of the role will be strategic partnership development. The manager will identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective funders, sponsors, network members and other strategic partners.

The role will also require coordination with internal teams covering technical, financial, communications, due diligence, risk and approval processes.
