Position Overview: Advocacy Officer
The Chargé·e de plaidoyer will contribute to implementing Plan International France’s advocacy strategy, working under the guidance of the Director of Advocacy and Youth Engagement.
The role focuses on influencing policies related to:
- Children’s rights.
- Gender equality.
- Girls’ and young women’s rights.
- International development cooperation.
- France’s feminist diplomacy strategy.
The successful candidate will work with partner organizations, Plan International teams, and external stakeholders to strengthen advocacy efforts and promote policy change.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy Strategy Development and Implementation
The Advocacy Officer will support:
- Implementation of Plan International France’s advocacy strategy.
- Development, monitoring, and evaluation of annual advocacy plans.
- Identification of opportunities to influence public policies.
- Promotion of child rights-based approaches in international cooperation policies.
Policy Influence and Government Engagement
Responsibilities include:
- Advocating for stronger political and financial commitments to children’s rights.
- Supporting policies aligned with international human rights frameworks.
- Promoting gender-responsive approaches in international development.
- Engaging with decision-makers and relevant stakeholders.
Communications and Influence
The role will contribute to:
- Developing influence communication strategies.

Candidate Profile

- A Master’s degree (Bac+5) in:
