7amleh – The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for Palestinian digital rights. The organization works to ensure a safe, fair, and free digital space for Palestinians by monitoring and researching digital rights violations, strengthening digital security and advocacy, building the capacity of civil society actors, and leading impactful local and international advocacy campaigns.

Through evidence-based research, strategic partnerships, and sustained advocacy, 7amleh plays a critical role in shaping digital rights discourse and policy at both regional and global levels.

Position Overview

7amleh is seeking a Europe Admin and Finance Officer to manage and support its administrative and financial operations across Europe. This role is essential to ensuring strong financial management, regulatory compliance, and smooth administrative processes that enable the organization’s work in the region.

The Admin and Finance Officer will oversee financial transactions, maintain accurate documentation, liaise with external service providers, and support the logistical and administrative needs of 7amleh’s European operations.

Key Position Details

  • Position Title: Admin and Finance Officer (Europe)
  • Location: France (Remote)
  • Working Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Contract Type: One-year contract, renewable
  • Reports To: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Finance Responsibilities

The Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective and transparent financial management, including:

  • Managing budgets and preparing financial reports for funders
  • Coordinating and maintaining relationships with the external accounting office
  • Documenting and archiving all Europe-related financial data and supporting documents
  • Preparing payments and financial documentation for review and approval by the authorized signatory
  • Supporting grant management processes, particularly for donor-funded projects

Administrative Responsibilities

In addition to financial duties, the role includes key administrative functions such as:

  • Ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations, including tax filings and statutory reporting
  • Managing the relationship with 7amleh’s legal counsel in Europe
  • Providing logistical and administrative support to 7amleh’s work and activities in Europe
  • Maintaining a well-organized filing system for all administrative and financial records, ensuring accessibility and compliance

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in finance or administration roles
  • Prior experience working within a non-profit or NGO environment is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting for international donors and grant management
  • Experience working with EU-based funders is considered a strong advantage

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory
  • Arabic proficiency is highly desirable and considered an asset
